Our library

Here at Malmesbury Primary School we are lucky enough to have two library spaces, and an extensive selection of lovely books. In the Reception and Year 1 area we have the Storyland library, where the walls are decorated with much-loved book characters.

Upstairs in the Junior Library the books are organised by author surname for fiction, and by subject for the non-fiction shelves. The area is decorated with a variety of displays, from giant book covers made by each class, reading recommendations from teachers and pupils to art work inspired by children’s book loans.

Write a Book Review for the Junior Library!

If you have really been inspired by a book you have borrowed from the library why not write about it and share your enjoyment?

Reviews that we receive will be published on the Reviews page, and could  help other people to chose their next book to read.

Have you read this book?

Can you identify the books in this display?

Have a close look and see how many of the books you can recognise.

Ever wondered which book comes next in the series?

Well, now you can find out! There is a very helpful web site where you can look up the best order in which to read a set of books. This is really useful when there are a lot of books by an author and there are no numbers on the covers to help you decide where to start…

Focus on.....Horrible Histories
